Croptopia Weekend - Autumn on the Rideau

My sister and I attended the first annual Autumn on the Rideau weekend crop by Croptopia.  It was held at the Econo Lodge in Smiths Falls.  The location was great.  The banquet room had a beautiful view of the river with a boat lock a short distance away.  I was hoping that we would get to see the lock in operation, but I guess it was a little late in the season.

Our hosts were Sue Irvine and her daughter Lisa.  The room was set up very operational with each crafter having either 4' or 8' of working space depending on what they registered for.  I think there were about 33 ladies in attendance.  Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

We had three vendors on site with an assortment of products to purchase from.  It was an added bonus to help add that finishing touch to some layouts.

I was able to complete 7 pages during this weekend.  Yes, 7 PAGES!!!!  That was an accomplishment for me.

This is one of my two favorites from this weekend.  I love the way the pictures just pop.

The page to the right (Brothers) was completed using a kit from Close To My Heart.  I'm not usually a fan of anything brown but I thing the watermarks on this paper helped to complete the look.
This is my other favorite page.  Could be because these are my two guys!

The Christmas Tree is my take on a layout from Pinterest that looked really cute.  I found that I didn't have the right pictures to complete it exactly as I wanted but I think it turned out pretty cute anyway.

This is a classic layout that worked really well for these photos.

This one started out as a trial for some stamped balloon animals that I attempted to cut out.  Viewing it in the photo you can't see the injuries I inflicted on these poor creatures!

I'm already looking forward to attending this event again next year.  I have a whole year to take lots of pictures and maybe plan a little better on which ones I will be scrapbooking so I can downsize the amount of 'stuff' I need to take.  No, that won't happen!!!

A big thank you to Croptopia and Sue Irvine for all the hard work put in to make this event a success!
