Card Swaps

I have been having a lot of fun with the card swaps being done on Facebook by My Whimsical Little World.  The latest swap I joined was for an All Occasion card.  I decided to test my creativity by doing a 'masculine' type of card.  My mind was set on using the Born to Ride stamp set from CTMH.  The card need to be manly in colour and style.  Let me tell you, that was a challenge for me!  I like the brighter colors, lots of bling and ribbon.  I sort of satisfied my need by using dark coloured pearls.  LOL  This is the finished product that I sent out to the swap.  Still thinking that it needs something to make it 'pop' a little more...

My extended family has really blossomed over the last two years!  I became a 'grandaunt' 5 times!!!  Here are some updated pics of the Diva Duo I posted last year.  Miss Shawna and Miss Isabella.  Also introducing Miss Emily - the newest addition!  She has her dad's bright eyes and her mom's beautiful smile (dimples included).  Isabella is now walking and is going to be a real go getter!  She is fearless!  Shawna is walking and talking, starting to put short sentences together.  They are all growing too fast!

But the Boys will not be outdone!  Bentley, who is two now, has a baby bro - Carter!  Ben is his grandpa's boy.  He loves working outdoors doing everything Grandpa does.  He also enjoys baking with Nanny too but so do I - We get to taste everything!

This summer should be a blast with these guys.  I'm looking forward to trips to parks, beaches and maybe Santa's Village.   Who Knows?

Isabella will also have a sibling by Halloween.  Congrats to my niece Christine and her hubby Jason!

Scrap for CHEO!

April 20th - 8 am Saturday until 1am Sunday - Scrap for CHEO - to be held at the Kinburn Community Center - 3045 Kinburn SIde Road  in Kinburn.  -  The cost for this event is $40 for the entire day - includes 6 foot table, snacks, tea, coffee and drinks and door prizes.  Lunch and Supper will be available for purchase.  Croptopia will have their store there along with several other stores and consultants.  This is a great opportunity to have a day with friends, doing something you love to do and raising money for a good cause, all at the same time   This event is being organized by Bonnie and you can contact her with your questions and to register.
